Discipleship
Discipleship at Mishkan is expressed and represented in three areas i.e., Family, Community and Quarterly Equip Classes which aim to help the disciples achieve
- FAMILY. We focus on building strong, healthy and God-led families which can thrive in the world, stand the test of time, and transfer the legacy of faith to the next generations as seen with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, Mordecai & Esther, Timothy etc.
- We model our discipleship after the life-long parental and child relationship in a healthy, loving and secure home setting to bring about multiplication and maturity of every believer in Christ Jesus in the household of God.
- Our first encounter with God and His Great Love is in our families. It’s where our being and doing life starts from, and then extends to our Gatherings and the World.
- Our role as a Ministry is to partner with and empower Family Discipleships by offering trainings, modelling, discipling and accountability to ensure that the biblical responsibility of raising and guiding children in the knowledge and fear of God is being fulfilled in families as ordained by God. (Exod. 25:8-9; 11:18-21; Ps 78:5; Prov 1:8; 22:6; Deut. 6:4-9; Eph 6:4; Luke 19:9; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 4:15-16).
- COMMUNITY. Discipleship is not a program, but the community’s way of life and joint participation of our shared life, partnership and responsibility in families, small groups and equip classes. We ensure that we spend quality time together in small groups, Instructing, in Relationships, Modelling Kingdom Life in our natural life settings.
- EQUIP CLASSES. Our Quarterly Equip Classes are foundational and yet progressive in nature to mature believers to belong, grow and participate effectively in the new family. We aim to reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God's Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ's fullness. Practical classes and missionary work expose our disciples to new experiences of Faith, performing of miracles such as healing the sick, casting out demons, and raising the dead etc. which is to be preached and demonstrated as part of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God by the person and power of the Holy Spirit.
Every graduate is tasked to carry out RESEARCH to understand their Community’s Culture & Worldview, Strongholds and where it Hurts Most. They, then come up with a Comprehensive Strategic Plan for their Villages that would establish a Kingdom Agency and bring about Social and Economic Transformation for implementation.
