Our History

Registered in 2016, in we began as a Small Fellowship of Believers, meeting every Friday for Prayer, Word and Fellowship at Life Ministry Uganda Building in Kololo. It is from this Place that we grew, encountered the Presence of God, increased in His grace, and experienced great Ministry of God’s Word, Prayer and Deliverance, that helped us build a strong foundation in Christ Jesus

The Lord then instructed us to launch Mishkan into a fully-fledged ministry in March 2020, right at the start of the pandemic and total lockdown. This was a great leap of faith, given the fact that we were all scattered all over town with no movement at all. We gladly obeyed immediately, knowing that Him who called us is Faithful and that it was His work.

It was also the time my wife got seriously sick that stretched our faith beyond what we could bear for one and half year, when we began to see God’s hand of restoration. Beginning April to December 2020, we hardly slept, battled all night, emotionally and physically challenged, but still served faithfully to the glory of God. We built like Nehemiah, one hand carrying the sword and the other, stones for building the wall. We battled like King David, with one hand lifted to God in surrender, praise,

worship and another carrying a sword for battle.We were stretched beyond our imaginations and limits! 

We thank God for the love and support of brethren in Mishkan, friends and medical personnel who stood with us in every way. For sure, we were really TRIED & TESTED, and our enemies determined so much to steal, kill and destroy Mishkan in its infancy, like Herod tried on Jesus. Today, we are celebrating God’s faithfulness and victory. The Battle is Over, and we have crossed over into the promised Land.

We embraced the “New Normal” realities of the 21st century virtual world to build a more robust digital ministry strategy that could align and support our vision and mission to come alive, but also support our community to connect and thrive beyond the current challenges.

The shut down happened overnight, but the re-opening was far more gradual and intermittent.  

We sacrificed traditional methods in order to embrace online platforms to reach out and make disciples for Christ Jesus.
We launched all our Online Platform – WhatsApp, Zoom, Facebook and YouTube channel that God used mightily to help us connect, engage and support our community.

By the grace of our Lord, we were able to daily Write, Record and send messages, set up online Ministry, Social Media, conducted our first Online Pentecost 2020 Convocation, 100 days Prayer Convocation, One on One Ministry, in order to stay above the disruption and thrive in the crisis.

As the pandemic continued to beat hard, we carried out a National WEBINAR SERIES on PRAYER, MENTAL HEALTH AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT DURING COVID-19, with the Spiritual Leaders, Uganda Counselling Association and support of POWER FM 104.1 FM, for Fourteen (14) days between Wed. 23rd June to 7th July 2021, Time: 6.30pm to 8.00pm to help to Educate, Prayer and give good counsel in such times.

August 2021

The Lord opened a door for us to move to our current location at Buye, Ntinda Kigoowa, where we were able to host all our services, streams and offices for counselling prayer meetings. 

September 2021

We carried another national WEBINAR SERIES on HOW TO THRIVE in the DIGITAL ECONOMY with the help of various Experts from East Africa. This webinar series, brought together an amazing line up of IT & Business Industry Experts from the East African Region that offered us an inside look at how business owners and start-ups can be empowered to effectively plan, and implement successful digital transformation strategy across their business models.

We launched our MONTHLY PRAYER RETREATS. This has continued every last Saturday of the month, where we take off a whole day to have personal and corporate time of extended prayer encounters with God at the Prayer Mountain. As a House of Prayer for all Nations, prayer provides us with the privilege and opportunity to grow, build spiritual capacity and prevailing grace in patnership with God as His vessels, to facilitate the establishment and advancement of His Kingdom Government in the Earth (homes, offices and society etc.)

2022

We launched Behold the Bridegroom Cometh Online programe that ran from 6.30am-7.30am for one year. The purpose of this theme, was to build us up, revive and get a fresh look kingdom Vision from the ravages of the pandemic as an Overcoming, Holy and Eternally Focused Church. 

Mid 2022

We launched our first Hybrid services, after the lockdown was lifted. We took some six (6) months to allow our members recover and overcome the fears of the pandemic..

January 2023

We transitioned from Behold the Bridegroom Cometh to Transformed Bible Study and Prayer. Streamed live every week Mon – Frid from 6.30 – 7.30am E.A.T; It covers Kingdom Strategic Prayers, Intercessions and Interactive Bible Study Discussion Series.

February 2023

Launched MISHKAN HOUSE OF PRAYER (MHOP). A Prayer Ministry that equips each disciple for Daily Intercession and “Round the Week” Prayer Cover for the Nations, Leaders, Mishkan Family and Individual needs. A dedicated Team is equipped every Tuesday to develop capacity for Strategic Intercessions and Deliverances.

Today, we can say that, “We are where we are because Jesus is Lord over All.”
